What our Students Say

IMG_6681.jpg
"This course is in depth and very thorough. I took it to make a transition (or add to) my massage license on humans that I have held since 2002. The class is well put together and the responses whenever I needed help with something was great. If I wasn't as old as I am, this course was enough to inspire me to pursue a more in depth career with animals. I hope to make it to Dr. Angel's place one day and meet all the turkeys and dogs and horses and pigs and, and, and... All the courses in the class are beneficial and well done."

Learn with Dr. Angel

Dr. Angelique Barbara, MS, DC

Dr. Angelique Barbara’s work is rooted in a rare blend of veterinary science, chiropractic expertise, lifelong animal stewardship, and deep devotion to holistic healing across species.

Beginning her journey in the veterinary field, Dr. Angel earned her Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Science with a minor in Equine Science, followed by a Master of Science in Veterinary Pathobiology, building a strong clinical foundation in animal anatomy, physiology, pathology, and whole-body wellness. While completing her college education, she also worked in a small animal veterinary hospital, where her hands-on experience with dogs and cats further deepened her understanding of companion animal health, behavior, recovery, and client care.

Having owned and cared for dogs and cats her entire life, Dr. Angel developed an equally strong passion for understanding the unique movement patterns, comfort needs, emotional sensitivities, and rehabilitation challenges of small animals. This lifelong connection to companion animals, combined with her clinical veterinary background, naturally led her to continue her education as a Doctor of Chiropractic, where she expanded her expertise in biomechanics, neurology, fascia, structural alignment, and nervous system regulation.

Driven by a desire to adapt the most effective principles of human chiropractic and rehabilitation for animals, Dr. Angel launched her first professional seminar in 2009, teaching chiropractors and veterinarians Animal Neuro-Myofascial Release Technique (ANMR) and Kinesiology Taping—innovative modalities that continue to influence integrative animal care today.

As demand for advanced holistic education grew, she expanded these trainings into a full online learning platform in 2015, making professional-level animal wellness education accessible to students around the world. What began as a specialized seminar has now evolved into a global continuing education ecosystem, supporting practitioners through foundational certifications, advanced specialty pathways, mentorship, business growth, and lifelong learning opportunities.

In 2022, this mission expanded even further with the founding of Angel’s Animal Sanctuary, a living extension of the philosophy behind every course. The sanctuary serves as a place of healing, rehabilitation, and advocacy, ensuring every modality taught is grounded in real-world animal care, compassion, nervous system support, and practical clinical application.

Today, students who learn with Dr. Angel are not simply taking a certification—they are joining a global community of small animal and equine professionals committed to raising the gold standard in holistic animal wellness, with continuing education pathways and lifetime support designed to grow alongside their practice.
